On Friendship

For most individuals our age, it’s very difficult to make ourselves feel heard, and I find that often, only true friends will listen. They’re the people that haven’t come into my life by chance.  If you think that friends just accumulate and stay in your life perpetually, you’re wrong. A true relationship is one that you have to work at, but in the end, it’ll feel effortless. Don’t ever take friends for granted. As A. A. Milne once stated in Winnie the Pooh; “You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.” Be brave and tell your friends that you love ’em, they may not be there forever.

“One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and be understood.”

– Seneca

“Words are easy, like the wind; Faithful friends are hard to find.”

– William Shakespeare
